SPECIFICITY OF SOME GENERAL METHODS OF THOUGHT MODELING: DIALECTICS, SYSTEMSTRUCTURAL APPROACH, AND SYNERGETICS
Rubrics: PHILOSOPHY
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):

The paper describes the features of the three general scientific methods of thought modeling: dialectics, the system-structural approach and synergetics. The author states that these methodologies represent contrasting kinds of logic presupposed by contrasting concepts of being. Different world outlooks represent the fundamentals of the world in diverse ways, which, in turn, sets the key features of their methodological standards. Realizing a similar problem, the author describes the content of special connections between the ontological schemes of these methods and their regulatory requirements for conducting research. The results have revealed some limitations and warnings. Thus, it seems that these methodologies should be applied only in those disciplines in which similar ontological schemes are used. And, on the contrary, the uncritical application of methodologies as «neutral-general scientific» leads to the erosion of one’s own disciplinary ontological models. The findings can be of interest to theorists of social and human sciences.
